I had an awesome weekend driving an F1600 car with K-Hill Motorsports in New Jersey. It was the first time I’d ever driven something with an H-pattern shifter around a track and banging through gears and blipping the throttle while downshifting made me feel like a Formula One driver from many decades ago. The car didn’t have any wings front or rear only working with mechanical grip of the tire and chassis working together I was able to say hello to an LMP3 car before they slowly began to pull away from me down the main straightaway. Overall, I had a blast and I can’t wait for another opportunity like this again soon.
