Grant has been a longtime fan of all forms of motorsports, including NASCAR, IndyCar and Formula 1. He grew up watching races with his dad on television, dreaming of the day when he would finally get his chance to get behind the wheel.

At the age of 14, after an award-laden baseball career, Grant was given the opportunity to try out a rental go kart at the local karting complex, and he loved it. A few weeks later, Grant’s parents purchased his first go kart and his racing career began.
